Song Competition
Are you a talented songwriter or lyricist looking to get recognition? Audio Blitz Records is giving you the chance to showcase your creativity and claim your place in the spotlight through our Songwriting Competition! We are introducing two exciting categories: Afro and Rap, each with a top prize of K500,000. You have to be an UNSIGNED artist and aged between 15 and 30 years for you to participate in this competition.
How it Works
1) Beats for the competition
- We’ve created exclusive beats for both the Afro and Rap categories, available for download on this link.
- Choose the beat that best fits your style and record your best lyrics.
- These beats are under license from Audio Blitz and are being made available to the public ONLY for this purpose. Only artists who win the competition will be given exclusive rights to use them.
2) Submissions
- Submit a demo of your song by 15 March 2025
- Send your entry to this email: info@audioblitz.net. MAKE SURE to include your name, age, contact details, if you are signed to a music label or not, and a brief bio.
- This competition is open to all UNSIGNED artists aged between 15 and 30.
- Only original lyrics and recordings will be considered.
3) Shortlisting
- Our team will review all submissions and shortlist the most impressive entries in each category.
- Success criteria include: versatile delivery, creativity, tight lyrics, and choice of subject matter
- Shortlisted artists will be given the opportunity to record their songs professionally—either at Audio Blitz Records or another top-tier studio of their choice.
4) Final Round
- Finalist songs in each category will be evaluated by our esteemed panel of judges and shared online for public voting.
- The final score will be determined as follows:
- Judges’ Scores (60%): Based on originality, lyrical quality, choice of subject matter, and overall creativity.
- Public Votes (40%): Online voting to showcase fan support.
Prizes
The winners in each category will receive:
- A chance to be signed to Audio Blitz Records.
- A cash prize of K500,000.
- A professional music production package for their next single.
- Exclusive promotional support and exposure across our platforms.
